When to choose it

Choose the edge that spans the fret group you want to check. The four lengths give you different working spans for changing fret spacing along the neck.

If the tool rocks, check neighboring groups and confirm the contact points before taking any material off a fret. Use a separate longer edge when the question is about the board or the whole span of the neck.

Questions about this product

Does it show the full curvature of the neck?

It is for local groups of frets. Use a longer reference or relief gauge for a broader measurement.

What does the shortest edge help with?

It suits a more closely spaced group if it still spans the three intended frets.

Does a rocking check mean I should file immediately?

Recheck the contact and nearby frets. Diagnose the cause before choosing a repair.
