StewMac · Radius gauges
StewMac Standard Understring Radius Gauges, Set of 4
When to choose it
Choose this set when the four included radii cover the instruments you maintain. Its thin shape gives you a way to compare the specified radius with the strings still installed where clearance allows.
The standard width covers a documented string spread up to 2⅝ inches. Compare the wider or nine-piece set if the instrument needs a greater span or a radius that this set does not include.

Questions about this product
Does the set include a 10-inch radius?
The four-piece set does not list 10 inches. Check the nine-piece set if you need that value.
Do the gauges work beneath installed strings?
The maker describes a low-profile design for that use. Check the available clearance.
What if the bass strings spread farther than 2⅝ inches?
Compare an extra-wide tool with a documented span that covers the instrument.
